Aer Lingus Divers (ALD) is a Dublin based snorkelling and SCUBA diving club.
The club was founded in 1981 as the Aer Lingus/Aer Rianta Sub Aqua Club, with members coming from Aer Lingus and Aer Rianta. The club membership is now open to all who wish to dive.

MEET THE COMMITTEE
The day-to-day running of the club is carried out by our very own committee, which is elected by club members at the Annaul General Meeting. Each committee stands for one year.

AER LINGUS DIVERS & CFT (Irish Underwater Council)

Aer Lingus Divers is very active within CFT.
One of our members, Thomas Hoey, held the executive position of National Diving Officer (NDO) for the last three years. The NDO is the highest diving official in the country. Thomas was responsible for all matters relating to diving in Ireland including courses and tests, safety, diving standards and research into new diving trends and techniques. He also represented CFT on the international stage at the CMAS general assembly.

Adrienne Mockler, another ALD club member, is currently sitting on the scientific committee of CFT and co-ordinates marine identification courses. We also assist new clubs in setting up by helping instructors support and run training activities.
